How do I report a crime?: To report a crime that has already occurred within the City limits of Early, call 325-646-5322 (nights and weekends this number will roll over to dispatch). An officer will be dispatched to your location to investigate. This should be only crimes that have already occurred and there is no danger.

A true emergency is any fire, injury or illness, which endangers a person’s safety, or a crime in progress. An emergency is life threatening and requires immediate response from police, fire or medical personnel.

4. How do I obtain a police report?: You can come to the Police department during regular business hours (8a-5p Monday – Friday excluding holidays) and complete a records request form at the window. You may also download a open record form.

5. How do I obtain a copy of a crash report?: Crash reports may be obtained at the Early Police Department during business hours (8a-5p Monday – Friday excluding holidays). The cost is $6.00.

6. How do I obtain a local background check?: Local background check are the only background checks performed by the Early Police Department. You must present your current valid ID.

7. Can I have my fingerprints taken at the Early Police Department?: Yes. The Early Police Department is available for ink fingerprints during regular business hours (8am-11:30am / 1pm–2:30 Monday – Friday excluding holidays).
