Reconstruction work on McDonald Drive will begin this week. This important project is designed to improve roadway conditions, utilities, and neighborhood drainage.

Construction Timeline

• Work will begin this week with Atmos replacing gas lines

This is a contractor for Atmos Gas and not for the City of Early. We are working closely with the contractor to minimize any inconveniences that could arise.

•  In the coming weeks, the City’s Public Works Department will replace sewer lines under the roadway and install new service taps to each property line. At the same time, water service lines will be lowered, and water mains will be replaced where necessary.

Neighborhood Impacts

• Emergency services will always have access to your property.
•  Trash collection will continue on Tuesdays. To avoid conflicts with construction, we ask that trash bins be set out by 7:00 a.m. Crews may collect earlier than usual.
•  Depending on the work zone, traffic may be temporarily routed to one end of the street or the other. While this may cause minor inconvenience, it is necessary for safety and progress.
• ·All construction will take place within the public right-of-way and will not extend onto private property. In most cases, the right-of-way line is just behind the utility poles along the roadway.
