The Southwest Amputee Golf Assn. is proudly hosting its regional tournament in town! About 45 years ago a couple of amputees who loved playing golf and wanted others to be able to enjoy it also formed the Texas/Oklahoma Amputee Golf Association. It is a way to meet people with similar physical limitations and provide the motivation to get out and get active. In 2007 the Texas group merged with the National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA) in order to form the new Southwest Region of NAGA, the Southwest Amputee Golf Association (SWAGA). SWAGA is a charitable 501(c)(3) association.
This tournament will take place at Hideout Golf Course (185 Hideout Road Brownwood, TX. 76801 325-784-4653) from September 28th-29th. Register HERE.
Date Details:
September 27th, Practice Rounds (On your own, as available, contact Hideout Pro Shop)
September 28th, Round 1 – Registration/Check-in 9:30 to 10:00 am, Tee Times start at noon.
September 28th, Dinner (after RD 1 is complete) at the Early Visitors Center - Time to be announced
September 29th, Round 2 – Shotgun starts at 8:30 am, Awards immediately after the final round.
Entry Fee:
$50 per amputee | $75 Per Guest.
Be sure to invite a friend and bring a guest golfer.
Tournament Registration deadline to order a complimentary golf shirt and hat closes 08/20/24 at 6 pm.
Normal registration will continue at the same $50 amputee/$75 guest until Sept 13th at 6 pm.
Includes:
Free-range balls on tournament days
Two rounds of golf including shared carts
Saturday evening dinner for registered players and one (1) non-playing guest after RD #1 is complete
(time to be announced closer to the tournament)
The awards ceremony after Rd #2 is completed on Sunday
