Courts and Controllers

This event is a basketball, volleyball and gaming tournament! The Howard Payne Basketball and Volleyball department help run the sport games and Mobile GameDrop's gaming trailer will be hosting the gaming tournament with the help of the Esports Program of HPU.

June

Kid's Fishing Tournament

Join the Kiwanis Club of Brownwood for a fun-filled morning of fishing at Early Town Center Lake. This in-person event is perfect for kids 16 and under who love the outdoors and want to learn how to fish. The first 150 to register will get a free rod, reel, and bait. TWPD will provide a limited loaner tackle. Additionally, there will be educational programs from TPWD Inland Fisheries, State Parks, Law Enforcement, Heart of Texas Nature Center. Bring your fishing gear or borrow some of ours—either way, get ready to catch some fish!

October

Movie in the Park

The event is free of charge with free popcorn, smores and drinks. There will be booths from local businesses and non-profits with games, crafts and candy. There will be a costume contest with a kids, teens, adult, and family division that will be judged right before the movie starts. At approximately 7:30 we'll start showing a Halloween friendly film.

Lighting of the Christmas Tree

Enjoy live performances from the talented Elementary Local Vocals, and Primary Choir as they fill the air with the sounds of the season! Create cherished memories with photos alongside Santa Claus, and warm up with complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, generously provided by United Supermarkets! This festive event is packed with holiday cheer and is the perfect way to kick off the season in Early!
