Catch & Win! Reel in Rewards!

The City of Early's Early Town Center Community Lake will receive three stockings of winter trout. We’ll tag 60 fish out of 3 stockings, with prizes valued between $10-$50.

Stockings will take place on:

December 1, 2025
December 19, 2025
February 24, 2026

Non-tagged stocking

January 5, 2026

Prizes:

Each tagged fish will be paired with a prize from a local business
Anglers who catch a tagged fish will be entered into a grand prize fishing trip to the coast sponsored by the Early Municipal Development District at the end of the season (Sunday, March 29, at the MLF watch party).
After the season is over, we will still allow tagged trout to be redeemed through April 30th, but no entry into the grand prize after we draw on March 29th.
Receive a second entry into the grand prize drawing for posting on social media (make sure your profile is PUBLIC to ensure we see the post) that you caught a trout at the Early Town Center and tag the business you won your prize from and the City of Early

What to do when you catch a tagged fish:

Text the Early Visitors & Events Center's On Call Phone (325-430-1395) with a picture of of the fish AND tag number
Prize can then be picked up during business hours at the Early Visitors and Events Center (419 Garmon Dr, Early) from Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM
***Please Note: We need to be aware if you put the tagged fish back in the lake or if you keep it***
